Three ways of paying attention.
The brief began with a small contradiction: a house that felt sheltered from the street, yet completely connected to the garden. Rather than make one grand gesture, we arranged a sequence of intimate rooms around a planted courtyard.
The gallery asked for an interior that could welcome small exhibitions, informal learning and moments of solitude. The architecture needed to have a presence without competing with the work on display.
A growing team needed a workplace with space for focused work and accidental conversations. The project replaces the idea of a sealed office floor with a shared interior street: a place to arrive, pause and find one another.
Notes on practice
We start with your routines, ambitions and constraints. We walk the site, understand the context and agree a brief, scope and fee before design begins.
Plans, models and material studies make the possibilities tangible. We test them with you, then develop a clear direction alongside the project’s consultants.
We carry the design into coordinated drawings and construction conversations. Our involvement is tailored to the appointment, with attention to the junctions and finishes that make the whole feel right.
